The San José Fire Department is an advanced, diverse and progressive fire department situated in the Capital of Silicon Valley.
The San José Fire Department's (SJFD) core mission is to serve the community by protecting life, property, and the environment through prevention and response. The Department protects approximately 200 square miles of terrain that includes residential, commercial, high-rise, and wildland interface areas.[1]
